Abstract
A method for detecting an internal-short-circuit in a battery. The method includes: obtaining a battery-charging standard parameter (S); obtaining a voltage Vof a battery when the battery enters a constant-current charging phase (S); obtaining a voltage difference ΔV generated across a charging time frame Δt during constant-current charging of the battery (S); obtaining a charge current I when the battery has been charged for the time frame Δt (S); determining an internal short circuit resistance Rof the battery based on the battery-charging standard parameter, the voltage V, the voltage difference ΔV, and the charge current I (S); and determining, based on the internal short circuit resistance Rof the battery, whether an internal short circuit exists in the battery (S).
