Current sensor with high and low current ranges

Abstract

Provided is a current sensor. An input module thereof comprises a differential copper bar and a current shunting copper bar connected in parallel. A current to be measured flows through the differential copper bar and the current shunting copper bar and generates a magnetic field at the positions of high and low current detection modules. In the high current detection module, a first magnetic induction module is secured on a circuit board and placed in an internal gap of the input module. The first magnetic induction module at least comprises a first and a second magnetic sensing units. The first and second magnetic sensing units differentially sense a magnetic field of the input module and form an out signal through a first signal output module. In the low current detection module, a second magnetic induction module is secured on a circuit board and placed outside the input module. The second magnetic induction module at least comprises a third and fourth magnetic sensing units. The third and fourth magnetic sensing units differentially sense the magnetic field of input module and form an output signal through a second signal output module. The current measurement range can be increased.
