Abstract
A method of operating a communications device, the method comprising receiving broadcast information transmitted in a cell of the wireless communications network, based on the broadcast information, determining that a service is provided via the wireless communications network, selecting the cell of the wireless communications network as a serving cell, receiving an indication in the cell that registration for the service is permitted, receiving information associated with the service and determining that the service is not required, transmitting a rejection indication indicating that the service is not required and receiving a network restriction indication transmitted in response to the rejection indication, the network restriction indication indicating that the communications device is not permitted to select the cell as a serving cell.
