Abstract
In some aspects, the techniques described herein relate to a method including: detecting, by a processor, an interstitial break during playback of a primary media asset; identifying, by the processor, an interstitial associated with the interstitial break, the interstitial associated with a type; instantiating, by the processor, a renderer based on the type of the interstitial; and executing, by the processor, the interstitial using the renderer.
