Abstract
Quantum computing methods are used to generate the soft bit information for decoding by solving a single hard MIMO maximum likelihood detection problem using the quantum computer. Probabilities P(b=1|y) and P(b=0|y) are determined from the state distribution that is obtained when executing a quantum circuit with a large number of shots.
