Abstract
An energy storage system includes a battery cluster and a black start bus. The battery cluster includes a plurality of battery packs that are connected in series. A target battery pack in the plurality of battery packs carries a black start control. The black start control is configured to: when being triggered, electrically connect a target energy storage battery to a target auxiliary power supply. The target auxiliary power supply is configured to supply power to a target controller and the black start bus based on electric energy provided by the target energy storage battery, to trigger the black start bus to supply power to an auxiliary power supply in another battery pack. The auxiliary power supply in the another battery pack is configured to: electrically connect to an energy storage battery based on electric energy provided by the black start bus; and supply power to a controller.
