Abstract

A method for remediating polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons polluted and/or heavy metal polluted water or soil remediation includes: preparing a bacterial suspension containing an alkali resistant microbial strain PDC-1, the alkali-tolerant microbial bacterium PDC-1 belonging toand deposited in China General Microbiological Culture Collection Center under deposit number CGMCC NO25957; and applying the bacterial suspension to water or soil contaminated with polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and/or heavy metals for remediation. The polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons are naphthalene, phenanthrene, anthracene and/or pyrene.
