Abstract
An electric delivery vehicle includes a frame, an energy storage system ('ESS'), and an electric motor. The ESS includes a battery assembly including a plurality of batteries, a power distribution unit electrically coupled to the battery assembly, a patch cable, and a charger assembly configured to receive an external connector configured to supply power to the battery assembly. The power distribution unit has a first interface electrically coupled to the battery assembly. The patch cable is configured to engage the first interface of the power distribution unit to electrically couple the patch cable to the battery assembly. The patch cable has a second interface. The charger assembly is configured to separately engage the first interface of the power distribution unit to electrically couple the charger assembly to the battery assembly and the second interface of the patch cable to electrically couple the charger assembly to the patch cable.
