Abstract
A method includes receiving broadcast content sufficient for a multiple-hour media broadcast from media automation services at an ingestion update module. A fully formed multiple hour broadcast is transmitted to multiple broadcast systems in advance of a time the media broadcast is scheduled for delivery to end users. Prior to the time the fully formed multiple-hour media broadcast is scheduled for delivery to end users, a master API receives a request from one of the multiple broadcast systems for a new media item to be inserted into its broadcast. In response, the ingestion update module sends a request for an updated broadcast log and replacement media content to one or more media automation services. The master API transmits a new, fully formed multiple-hour media broadcast including replacement content to the requesting broadcast system.
