Abstract
Light field images are displayed via a light field display unit to produce a synthetic light field presenting at least one virtual object to a given user. When it is detected that a difference between a focus depth at which the given user is gazing and a given optical depth at which the at least one virtual object is being presented is more than a predefined threshold difference, at least one of: dimming, blurring, is performed on a virtual image to be presented to a non-dominant eye of the given user. A current light field image is generated by utilising this virtual image and another virtual image to be presented to a dominant eye. The current light field image is displayed via the light field display unit to produce a current synthetic light field presenting the at least one virtual object.
