Abstract
A ribbon cable for break detection in a laminated panel including a carrier film that supports one or more electrical conductor tracks and defines first and second connection regions at opposite ends. The first connection region is configured to be positioned between two panes of the laminated pane. The second connection region is configured to be routed out of the laminated pane between the panes. The conductor tracks are configured to electrically contact an electrical functional element in the first connection region. The carrier film further supports an additional conductor track arranged as a loop, such that an ohmic resistance between ends of the additional conductor track can be measured to detect a break.
