Abstract
A computer-implemented method of locally verifying an attribute associated with a user is disclosed. The method comprises performing, by a computing device, steps including: capturing biometric verification data using the computing device; determining whether the biometric verification data corresponds to the user by comparing the biometric verification data with authenticated biometric data of the user previously obtained from an identity document, ID, and stored locally on the computing device; and in response to determining that the biometric verification data corresponds to the user, verifying the attribute associated with the user based on attribute information associated with the user previously obtained from the ID and stored locally on the computing device.
