Abstract

The present disclosure provides a method () of evaluating a fluidic substance () having particles (). The method () comprises capturing a reference image () of at least a portion of a container () that is in an empty state; determining a reference grayscale value (V) of at least a portion of the reference image (); aspirating a volume of the fluidic substance () into the container (); capturing a test image () of the container () containing the aspirated volume of the fluidic substance (); determining a test grayscale value (V) of at least a portion of the test image (); calibrating a universal calibration curve () relating particle concentration and grayscale value based on the reference and test grayscale values (V, V); and determining a particle concentration (P) in the fluidic substance () based on the test grayscale value (V) and the calibrated universal calibration curve ().
