A sliding member with improved wear resistance. The sliding member including a base layer and a resin coating layer formed on the base layer; where the resin coating layer includes a polyamidimide resin as a binder; a solid lubricant; boehmite particles of greater than 0 vol % and less than or equal to 1.0 vol %; and inevitable impurities.
