Abstract
A cowling is for an outboard marine drive. The cowling has a top cowl defining a cowling interior, a lid on the top cowl, the lid being movable (e.g. pivotable or slidable) into and between an open position providing access to the cowling interior and a closed position enclosing the cowling interior, and a trough system located below the lid, the trough system being configured to drain water by gravity from the lid and the top cowl.
