Abstract

The present invention relates to a drive assembly () for a bicycle. The drive assembly () has a bottom bracket gearbox (), a prime mover () and a planetary assembly (). The planetary assembly () includes a first planetary gear set () having a first rotary element, a second rotary element and a third rotary element. The drive assembly () has a stationary component () and a first brake shift element (B). The first rotary element is mechanically operatively connected to the output () of the prime mover (). The second rotary element is in the form of an output of the planetary assembly (). The third rotary element is rotationally fixable on the stationary component () by the brake shift element (B).
