Abstract
A hand-held electrically powered cut-off tool () comprising a first part () and a second part () arranged vibrationally isolated from each other, the first part () comprising an interface () for holding a cutting tool () and an electric motor () arranged to drive the cutting tool, wherein the first part is associated with a first mass (M), the second part () comprising a battery compartment () for holding an electrical storage device () arranged to power the electric motor () as well as front () and rear () handles for operating the cut-off tool, wherein the second part is associated with a second mass (M), wherein the electrical storage device () is associated with a third mass (M), and wherein the cutting tool is associated with a fourth mass (M), wherein a ratio of the second mass (M) to the sum of the first and second masses (M+M) is at least 0.3, and preferably more than 0.35; wherein a ratio of a sum of the second and the third mass (M+M) to the sum of the first and fourth masses (M+M) is at least 0.6, and preferably more than 0.8 and even more preferably more than 1.0; wherein a ratio of a sum of the second and the third mass (M+M) to the sum of the weight of the entire device including electrical energy storage and cutting disc, is at least 0.45, and preferably more than 0.5.
