Abstract
A pulse shaper circuit () for use in a spectral photon counting detector () includes an integrator () and a reset circuit (). The integrator () includes an output () that generates an output pulse (V(t))) having an amplitude (V) indicative of an energy of a detected photon. The reset circuit () discharges the integrator () a first time period (DT) after the output () of the integrator () exceeds a first threshold value (V). The reset circuit () also discharges the integrator () if the output () of the integrator () exceeds an initial threshold value (V), which is lower than the first threshold value (V), and does not subsequently exceed the first threshold value (V) within a predetermined time interval (DT) after the initial threshold value (V) is exceeded.
