Abstract
An inkjet recording apparatus includes a recording head, a conveyance member, a control unit, an ink collection unit, an ink passage and a suction unit. The ink passage is formed between the conveyance member and an ink reception portion. The suction unit is coupled to the ink reception portion, and sucks the ink that has passed through the opening together with air in the ink passage. In the conveyance member, an air circulation hole is formed on the upstream side of the opening in a conveyance direction. A distance between the opening and the air circulation hole in the conveyance direction is smaller than the width of the ink passage in the conveyance direction.
