Abstract
This disclosure relates to techniques for performing uplink port selection management in a wireless communication system. A sounding reference signal transmit power calculation method may be selected by a wireless device from multiple possible methods, potentially based on a number of uplink multiple input multiple output transmission layers configured for the wireless device. Sounding reference signal transmit powers for a first antenna port and a second antenna port may be determined using the selected sounding reference signal transmit power calculation method. Sounding reference signals may be transmitted using the first antenna port and the second antenna port at the determined sounding reference signal transmit powers.
