Abstract

This invention relates to a sensor and sensor system for an autonomous system. The sensor and its system sense, perform signal or data processing, and make the decision locally at the point of sensing. More specifically, the sensor along with its system/platform simulates the human-like or human capacity to make a decision utilizing machine learning model for heterogeneous data originated from multiple sensors generating data sets with or without having various data formats from a series of data processes, and/or combine them and configured to have a decision to control an autonomous system. Additionally, the sensor platform/system combines multiple sensors in one metasensor with the functionality of multiple sensors placed on a common carrier or platform. This sensor system enhances adaptability and decision-making efficiency for diverse autonomous applications.
