Abstract
A method comprises receiving data defining one or more service operation points and one or more media entry points for a client to a 5generation media streaming (5GMS) application, in which the one or more service operation points includes at least one service operation point that is applied to each media entry point of the one or more media entry points, and in which the one or more service operation points are defined for a plurality of formats in the 5GMS application; selecting a media entry point from the one or more media entry points; and starting a media delivery session based on the selected media entry point.
