Abstract
Techniques for monitoring activity during an unlocked state of one or more security policies associated with a security zone of a tenancy of a cloud environment are disclosed. A request to temporarily unlock the one or more security policies is received. The plurality of security policies are applicable to the security zone that encompasses a plurality of cloud resources of the tenancy. The one or more security policies are unlocked. While the one or more security policies are unlocked, a plurality of application programming interface (API) calls destined for the plurality of cloud resources within the security zone are logged. In an example, the logging is performed in response to, or simultaneous with unlocking the one or more security policies, such that prior to unlocking the one or more security policies, API calls destined for the plurality of cloud resources within the security zone are not logged.
