Abstract
Systems and methods provide configuration of cloud systems by detecting a request that specifies virtualized networking and storage resources for a requested cloud system. A network infrastructure payload is generated that specifies the requested virtualized networking resources. The payload is updated with a virtualized networking configuration for the requested system. Based on the virtualized networking implementation, multiple network configurations are identified for implementing the system by a specific cloud provider and candidate network infrastructure payloads are generated for each of the network configurations. A set of tradeoffs are generated between networking and storage parameters of the candidate payloads and the candidate payloads are ranked based on a weighting of the tradeoffs of the respective payloads. A top-ranked of the candidate network infrastructure payloads is updated with specific networking resources to select a cloud provider for implementing the cloud system.
