Abstract

An assembly () for potential equalization in potentially explosive areas is described, having an outer housing (), a gas discharge arrester (), a short-circuiting device () and a fault indicator (). At least the gas discharge arrester () and the short-circuiting device () are accommodated in the outer housing (). The short-circuiting device () comprises at least one spring () and an actuating element (), which is preloaded into a short-circuit position by the spring (). The gas discharge arrester () has a base body () which is filled with a gas and connected to a first connecting part () via a thermally detachable connection (). The fault indicator () is set up to indicate a tripping event of the short-circuiting device ().
