Abstract
A multibeam antenna operating over a plurality of frequency bands includes a plurality of planar multibeam arrays, each array corresponding to an operating frequency band ΔFwithin the plurality of the frequency bands. Each array has a plurality of antenna elements for transmitting and receiving signals where distances between the antenna elements on each of the arrays is arranged as a function of a center frequency fof the operating frequency band. The multibeam antenna has a plurality of multiplexers, each coupled to plurality of planar multibeam arrays, each of the multiplexers having a common beam port for sending and receiving the signals through the antenna elements.
