Abstract
A system features a neural network trained on labeled data and configured to receive electromagnetic field measurement data from an object of interest as input to the neural network, and to reconstruct a three-dimensional (3D) distribution image of a physical property of the object of interest from the received electromagnetic field measurement data. The reconstruction is implemented without performing a forward solve during the reconstruction. The neural network has two branches, a first of which comprises a two-stage convolutional decoder, whose first stage transforms inputted scattered field data to a 3D distribution image of the physical property, and whose second stage has successive deconvolutional and upsampling layers. A second branch, arranged in parallel with the first, receives prior information, and respective outputs of the two branches are combined to achieve a reconstructed 3D volume of the physical property.
