Abstract
A camera device includes an image capturing device disposed in a housing and configured to generate an image signal by capturing an image. A light transmitting cover is coupled to the housing and allows light to pass therethrough toward the image capturing device. The camera device further includes a photometric sensor that senses an illuminance of light and an ultraviolet lamp disposed on one side of the light transmitting cover to irradiate ultraviolet radiation toward the cover. Operation of the ultraviolet lamp is controlled according to the illuminance sensed by the photometric sensor. The light transmitting cover exhibits a photochromic effect in response to the ultraviolet radiation irradiated by the ultraviolet lamp.
