Abstract

A method of forming a phase-pure CsTeXpowder can include: dissolving a precursor TeX in a solution; rapidly adding a stoichiometric amount of respective CsX precursor to the solution, resulting in CsTeXpowder immediately precipitating out of the solution; removing excess solution from the solution, resulting in the phase-pure CsTe Xpowder; washing the phase-pure CsTe Xpowder; and drying the phase-pure CsTe Xpowder.
