Abstract
A method for accessing tortuous vascular anatomy with a catheter having a distal tubular body that includes an inner tubular layer surrounding a central lumen, an outer tubular layer, and a helical support having adjacent loops spaced axially apart, and carried concentrically over the inner tubular layer and within the outer tubular layer. The distal end of the catheter forms corrugations along an inside bend of the distal tubular body to reduce a tendency of the distal tubular body from kinking at a focal bending point.
