Abstract

Uses for activated or inactivated fibroblasts or fibroblast-derived materials, such as exosomes from fibroblasts, for wound care are provided. The methods and compositions are useful for purpose of tissue differentiation, cell recruitment, differentiation of local stem cells, and expansion of local cells, such as keratocytes, vasal epithelial cells, myofibroblasts, and/or dermal fibroblasts, including for initiating and/or maintaining wound healing.
