Abstract
The present invention provides a method for treating behavioral and psychological symptoms in patients with dementia comprising administering an effective dose of pure 5-HTreceptor antagonist and acetylcholinesterase inhibitor or NMDA receptor antagonist. The present invention also relates to a pharmaceutical combination comprising pure 5-HTreceptor antagonist and acetylcholinesterase inhibitor or NMDA receptor antagonist, in particular for treating behavioral and psychological symptoms in patients with dementia. The present invention further provides use of the said compounds in the manufacture of a medicament, and a pharmaceutical composition comprising the said compounds intended for the treatment of disorders described herein.
