Abstract
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may set a target delay value for a dejitter buffer of the UE based at least in part on jitter delays of silence descriptor (SID) packets that are received by the UE. The UE may receive, after the SID packets, media packets into the dejitter buffer. The UE may release the media packets from the dejitter buffer based at least in part on the target delay value.
