Abstract
Systems and methods for security validation control in a self-checkout system are provided. The method includes retrieving system-level transaction data receiving identity information related to a user, retrieving user-specific transaction data using the identity information, determining one or more validation parameters, which includes at least one validation percentage, weight tolerance threshold, and visual similarity threshold, selecting one or more items for validation within a self-checkout transaction, and, performing a validation check on each of the one or more items. The method also includes calculating validation performance indicators based on results of the validation check, and updating the system-level transaction data and the user-specific transaction data with the validation performance indicators.
