Abstract
A release assembly for use in a vehicle seat including a pair of rail assemblies provided with a fixed rail, a translatable rail, and a locking device. The locking device configured to selectively lock the translatable rail to the fixed rail and unlock the translatable rail from the fixed rail. The release assembly including a mounting bracket provided with retention features and defining a mounting aperture. The release assembly further including an actuation assembly and a bushing. In an installed state, the actuation assembly is configured to rotate relative to the mounting bracket to actuate a locking lever of the locking device to unlock the translatable rail. The bushing fixed to the actuation assembly and configured to be inserted into the mounting aperture and, in the installed state, retained within the mounting aperture by a snap-fit condition formed between the bushing and the one or more retention features.
