Abstract
This application provides a method of obtaining information. According to the method, a mobile relay device moves to a permitted area in which the mobile relay device is allowed to use a relay function, where the permitted area is a cell covered by a donor base station. The mobile relay device obtains, in the permitted area, a physical cell identifier (PCI) of a relay cell through which the relay function is provided for a terminal device, where the relay cell is a cell accessed by the terminal device. In this way, the mobile relay device can obtain the PCI, and provide a relay service for the terminal device served by the mobile relay device.
