Abstract
A clothing treatment apparatus includes a cabinet, a cylindrical drum positioned inside the cabinet, a motor for generating a rotational force for rotating the drum, a rotating part configured to be rotated by the motor, a connection part configured to transmit the rotational force of the motor to the drum through the rotating part, a tension part positioned between the rotating part and the drum and configured to adjust the tension of the connection part, a bracket that is connected to the rotating part and rotatably supports the tension part; a first elastic member connected to the cabinet and to the rotating part or the bracket and configured to rotate the rotating part and the tension part in a first rotating direction, and a rotation preventing part configured to limit rotation of the rotating part and the tension part within a predetermined rotation angle.
