Abstract
System and methods for updating a location of a mobile network asset are described. A location of a user equipment is sometimes provided by the user equipment as part of a registration request from the user equipment. A location agent of the mobile network receives the location of the user equipment and provides the location to a location manager. The location manager calculates a location of the asset using the location information provided by the user equipment. The calculated location of the asset can be compared to a previously stored location of the asset and updated if needed.
