Abstract
A power trowel that includes a handle, a housing, a blade assembly including a trowel blade, a motor coupled to the blade assembly, a plurality of sensors configured to generate output signals related to an operational state of the power trowel, and a controller connected to the motor and the plurality of sensors. The controller is configured to receive the output signals from the plurality of sensors, determine, based on the output signals, a speed setting for the blade assembly and a pitch angle for the trowel blade, and control the motor to drive the blade assembly at the speed setting with the trowel blade at the pitch angle.
