Abstract
A method for registering a terminal with a communication network. The method is implemented in a management entity following receipt of a registration request message requesting registration of the terminal with the network. The management entity includes at least one previous registration of the terminal with the communication network. The method includes determining a number of active registrations, from among the at least one previous registration, on the basis of at least one response message received in response to at least one transmitted solicitation message including the at least one datum associated with the at least one previous registration; and updating the at least one previous registration on the basis of the received registration request message in the event that the determined number of active registrations is less than a maximum value of registrations for the terminal.
