Abstract
A medical system including a wearable medical device configured to provide therapy to a patient upon detection of a cardiac condition, one or more remote servers, and a mobile device including at least one processor, a memory, a display, and a code reader. The at least one processor is configured to receive a code from the code reader, the code comprising a contact. The at least one processor is further configured to cause the contact to be stored in the memory of the mobile device by a contacts module of the mobile device based on the code. The contact includes contact data, which is associated with the one or more remote servers. The at least one processor is further configured to transmit an authorization to the one or more remote servers, and receive one or more communications at the mobile device from the one or more remote servers.
