Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a 5generation (5G) or pre-5G communication system for supporting higher data transmission rates than 4generation (4G) communication systems such as long term evolution (LTE). A method performed by a first base station in a wireless communication system includes: identifying a first signal-to-interference-noise ratio (SINR), based on channel state information received from a terminal; identifying a modulation and coding scheme (MCS), based on the first SINR and information on a link direction of a second base station; and transmitting information indicating the MCS to the terminal.
