Abstract
An electric connector includes an insulating body, a first terminal module and a first shielding piece. The first terminal module is mounted to the insulating body. The first terminal module includes a number of pairs of first signal terminals and a number of first ground terminals. Each first ground terminal includes a first main body portion, a first mating portion and a first tail portion. The first tail portions of the number of first ground terminals are connected together through a first connection portion. The first shielding piece includes a first shielding portion and a first extension portion connected to the first shielding portion. The first main body portion is at least partially in contact with the first shielding portion. The first connection portion is at least partially in contact with the first extension portion.
