Abstract

Hydraulic damper() for furniture doors or drawers. Damper() comprises housing() having a closed first end() and a second end provided with lid(); and piston() movable in housing() along longitudinal piston axis(A). Piston() defines first and second chambers() inside housing(), respectively at first and second end-sides of piston(). Piston() comprises circumferential groove() defined between circumferential first and second shoulders(). Groove() is provided with annular collar() axially movable between first and second shoulders(). Collar() is formed from elastic material to reversibly contact inner surface() of housing() when radially expanded when subjected to hydraulic-pressure forces parallel to axis(A). First shoulder() is arranged allowing hydraulic fluid to flow on collar() when collar() contacts first shoulder(). Second shoulder() is arranged blocking hydraulic fluid from flowing on collar() when collar() contacts second shoulder(). Piston() is provided with channel() arranged to provide fluid flow communication between first and second chambers().
