Abstract

A multi-node, multi-container cluster system that generates, aggregates, and manages log files from services and components includes a serviceability suite of functions for the system as it performs its tasks of supporting applications for a user. A logging function records events and states of nodes as the applications are run, an audit log processing function processes and compiles the logs for audit purposes, and the relevant log data for is provided in the form of uniform core files. Failure processing functions and debugging tools are provided to help analyze, debug, and correct issues that may be encountered. A support bundle processing function is provided to generate and process the log, debugging, failure, and other information for transfer to vendors or other third parties tasked with supporting the cluster network.
