Method and system for media navigation. The description hierarchy is accessed. The description hierarchy includes at least one category list. One or more media descriptions are accessed for a plurality of media items. Multiple media items are accessible from multiple sources. One or more media descriptions are mapped to at least one category list. Navigation is processed through a user interface to allow selection of multiple media items from multiple sources.
