Abstract
A banknote stack transport arrangement for a cash handling machine may include a first structure presenting a first banknote engagement portion being displaceable in relation to the first structure, and a second structure presenting a second banknote engagement portion being displaceable in relation to the second structure. The first structure may be pivotally arranged at its first end so as to be swingably movable between a closed configuration and an open configuration. The second structure may be pivotally arranged at its second end so as to be swingably movable between a rest position and an active position at which the second structure is configured to press the banknote stack towards the first banknote engagement portion. The banknote stack transport arrangement may be configured to transport the banknote stack out from the temporary banknote receptacle by displacing the first and the second banknote engagement portions and by moving the second structure to the active position.
