Abstract

Recyclable and dimensionally stable films for packaging include an oriented base film having a first layer containing a polar polymer and a second layer containing a stabilizing polyolefin, wherein the stabilizing polyolefin is selected from the group of an ethylene/norbornene copolymer having a norbornene content greater than 20 mol %, a polyethylene polymer having a density greater than 0.94 g/cm, and a polypropylene homopolymer.
