Abstract
A thrombectomy device () for removing matter from a body lumen comprising a handle (), a catheter member () extending from the handle () having a distal control arm () and a proximal control arm (), a radially expansible member () on the distal control arm radially expansible between a contracted position and an expanded, thrombus-capture, position in response to axial movement of the distal control arm (); and a thrombus extraction mechanism () extending through the distal control arm () wherein the extraction mechanism () and the distal control arm () are coupled to enjoy a synchronised axial movement so that the extraction mechanism () is positionally axially fixed with respect to the distal control arm ().
