Abstract
An E-compressor for an AC system of an electric vehicle provides a cooling flow of refrigerant via a fixed orifice disposed internally within the housing assembly of the compressor. A portion of the pressurized refrigerant to be supplied to the AC system is bled off through the fixed orifice and provided to a cooling flow path that directs the bleed portion into the bearing areas of the compressor.
